1. how much engine oil is required for a 4L Cherokee? (how many litres?)
2. is it OK if I leave the differential and transmission oils for a long time? (i.e. years) without changing??

Personally I'll be doing transmission and diff oil changes every 50,000 miles. If you Jeep is just used on-road you can probably extend that to 75-100,000 miles.
For oil the 4.0 requires 5.67 liters of oil, or 6 quarts.
