Stupid side thread, but does anyone own one of these seemingly rare beauties? I love the Burnt orange, but I've only ever seen one.

I've got my green XJ, but just curious to see if anyone actually owns either color.

 

Mine is Lapiz Blue but is faded and looks like a light purple.

 

I've seen 3 of the orange ones in my life. I've seen one purple one, but I think it was aftermarket.

 

I saw a sweet orange two door the other day. No purple ones though. Another rare color is yellow it seems to me. Maybe its where i live but ive only ever seen one yellow one.

 

One of the high schools around here has an orange one. They use it for their sports teams to haul medical equipment and pole vault poles. It's real clean and I want it bad. That orange is such a nice color.

By purple do you mean Deep Amethyst Pearl? Or is there some other purple like color out there?

My 98 is Deep Amethyst Pearl and until I got mine I never saw that many the same color, now I see a lot of them. I really wanted a deep metallic green XJ, but the amethyst XJ was cheap so I got it instead. The purplish color has kind of grown on me now so it will stay that color as long as I own it.

I don't think I've ever seen a yellow one either XD And the purple one is almost a brown looking color when seen in a different light. I talked to a guy who had one and said it was released as a special for at least one year as an anniversary of some kind. Took a bit of searching, but I found a picture of it, and it IS a factory color, but I'm not sure from what year.

I'd love to get an orange one!
