pulling out a stock cherokee???

Default pulling out a stock cherokee???

im heading out this weekend to go muddin with my buddys, i just bought my xj so it is completely stock...if i get stuck what is the best way to pull it out seeing that i have no tow hooks...i do have a small hitch but it isnt attached to the frame just the bumper mostly... or should i just stay out of the mud all together :/

yeah dont use tht hitch or bumper ,just dont get stuck lol ....work on getting a new hitch in the back,i have one up front to

lol yeah thats the easy answer but i wanna have some fun too ya know? i saw some better hitches at the junkyard but im not too sure how id secure it to the frame

You better have some decent f***in tires!!!

If your going in some mud with all-season street tires, you will get stuck. (be sure too take pics, lol)
Youre definitely gonna need some sort of recovery point, that can be yanked on, hard.

I've had to use my front axle twice without breaking anything. Put it in 4lo and don't stop!

You guys aren't that big a fan of using the stock hitch for any sort of recovery points then?

a hitch that is properly mounted to the "frame" is good to use for recovery, i have a reese drawtight class 3 hitchalong with a dshackle receiver and use it all the time to pull/get pulled out nvr had any problems. he said he has some sort of hitch mounted to the bumper, which im assuming is one of these kinds, and i wouldnt use that as a recovery point let alone tow with it.

ive usd my factorey hitch to pull out a 2500 dodge ,but my hitch is mounted to frame

First investment for any rig if planing to offroad is some good recovery points, cheapest is some front hooks, and for the rear a hitch & dshackle and they work great

Oh, I've just got whatever it came from factory with. I assume its part of the towering package so I should be ok, right?
