Apparently, at some point (before I purchased), the roof needed a little tlc. The Jeep is a Moss Green Pearl, but my roof is like a chalk green, in color; no clearcoat, just faded paint. I am planning on removing the roof rack and prepping and painting the roof myself. From the looks of things, the only thing that will really be in my way is the windshield gasket. Is this something that I can just peel back, in order to do a decent paint job? Also, I guess it would be a good idea to remove the hatch hinges?

The windshield is glued on. The rubber piece is just cosmetic and should peel off.

Yes, the hood needs some love too. I am debating on whether or not to just go flat black there.

Unless your trying to do a pro paint job just mask it off.
