This may be a dumb question, but I've always believed that the only dumb question is the question not asked.
So, in my recent and ongoing build, I have accumulated some product stickers. I'm wondering if it is considered "OK", a must or just plain tacky to put these on my Jeep?

My opinion is: It's you stuff. You earned the money to pay for it. You're free to what YOU please with it. If someone doesn't like it, that's thier problem.
My mom was a big anti-logo person.
When she bought a new car it was written in the contract that there better not be a dealer sticker
or a license plate bracket with the dealers name on it or she would not take delivery.
One time she bought this car, was told it was in, walked right by what she thought was her car.
The salesperson said did you see your car?
She said no.
Salesperson said it was right out front.
My mom said that can't be my car. There is a dealer sticker on it.
She said you should have seen the look on their faces. They hustled that car into the detailing area real quick. LOL.
Her logic was you don't pay me to advertise your product.
I agree with her and don't do the sticker thing either.
But on my Jeep when I bought her there was a sticker for my local Jeep dealership on her.
Normally I would have taken it right off.
But out of loyalty to the them keep it on.
See they do right by me.
With both pricing and answer all my stupid Jeep questions. LOL.
So......
I have some product stickers on my Jeep and C10. Automotive parts, music related, firearm related, random and funny stuff. But I have way more stickers on my tool boxes, welder and cart, air compressor, and sandblaster.
Its your stuff if you wanna put stickers on it then go for it.
Just dont embarrass yourself with a Rough Country windshield banner
I wouldn't cover my XJ, but half a dozen or so doesn't hurt. And as long as they're not any bigger than about 6-8" in any direction...
I've always immediately removed any dealer advertisements from vehicles I have bought, even in the parking lot before I drive away. That always makes for some awkward looks from the sales people.
I used to put stickers on the outside when I was in my 20s. I now only have one "external" sticker to represent the off-road club I'm in.
I do however put stickers on the inside of the hood - mostly to remind myself of all the good parts scattered throughout the rig lol. I do still like them, but prefer the cleaner, non-sticker look. I guess that's called "growth."
i too don't like stickers on my vehicles. i can see if your jeep is highly modified, then sure, but only on the side cargo windows. never on the paint. but as a couple guys already said, either the underside of the hood is a good place, or the undercarriage, like the skid plate idea.
this way, you're not advertising what you put on the jeep, for someone to steal it. you know what parts you installed, no one else needs to.
i only put one sticker on my new jeep when i bought it. and that's my motorcycle MC club sticker. just so people know not to fack with this jeep. it's a small sticker, but enough to do the job.

For the most part... I've agreed with your mom on that statement... They aren't paying me to advertise...plus I tend to like a more clean look. But that's preference.
And I can see your argument for keeping the one on yours.... I'd use that to my advantage too.

^^^ good points here.... years ago I used to be on the other side of the industry, in building custom Import Tuner cars that were extremely fast for myself and others. But then got tired of the fact that you could high-center on a pebble...lol...and longed to get to the other extreme... off-road 4x4.
As for the stickers... here's my point.... It was and still is common on those kinds of builds to have the manufacturer "role call" set going down the door.... I NEVER did that on any of my builds...as that's just a shopping list for thieves. lol
Nice...but always take it with you... ask me how I know just how easy it is to break into an XJ without breaking any windows.I locked my keys in one day and had to figure that one out

Not taking it with you would be the same as carrying it unloaded.
I like all the opinions on the stickers. I recall back in the days when I drag raced motorcycles, we put the stickers on in case we did a bunch of winning, then there might have been sponsor money. I never found out, because even though I would do some winning, I never made to the winner's podium.
