"Presents" from previous owners
I bought mine on ebay, so I figured I would be in for some surprises. A box of rubbers, an old newspaper, .35 cents under the seat, a flat tire, zero gas, front rotors were smoked, wasted front ball joints, worn out suspension, and an air filter that was so dirty I believe it was the one that came with the jeep back in 2000.

found that the previous owner bent the clutch pedal. and tried to remove the rear shocks but broke 1 of the bolts off and decided to just go ahead and weld the bar pin to the jeep..... :/

lol, some of these are just rediculous. My surprises came when I did my first tune up.
Let's see, when I replaced the spark plug wires, I went to pull the wire off the ignition coil.. it snapped. Turns out the electrode on the end of the coil had been GLUED on.. That was annoying
Went to turn on my a/c on a hot day only to very quickly realize it doesnt work.
Leaves... everywhere
A worm in the hatch
O, and my fave.. a reciept from spencer's in the glovebox for a blowup doll...

Today, i started pulling out the rear trim to start pullin the carpet to bed line the rear portion of the jeep, and i found dog hair everywhere behind the trim along with a dozen or so big *** stink bug beetle things, WTF!!!! haha!
and they broke the drivers side shock perch off, so they attached a piece of 3/16th steel to the lca bracket, and put two chunks of alum, with sqaures holes in them, and then two 1/2 inch nuts, and then the shock and put two of those bolts that have a round head on the top threw there. took me forever to get them off. wtf, im going to need a new axle soon anyways. The drivers side coil perch is about rusted off.

Well I got my xj from craigslist from a pretty sketchy neighborhood, It had stupid 17" ghettoed out rims on it!
Well, I got it home, but real tires and rims on and realized as i was driving it that the fog light button started the motor!!!! I think they wired it up because of an iffty NSS suitch
Well on my first wheeling voyage I went through a pretty deep puddle half way down the trail well she stalled and my buddy pulled it home to find that some idiot had drilled a hole right through the side of the distributer to try and re bolt the cap down after breaking off the old screw
long story short the dude just let the distributer hangin on with one screw and a hole in the side of it
Why do people have to screw up perfectly good jeeps?
