Well I just picked this XJ up a couple of days ago, it came all stock. I had some 31's just laying around, so I said why not give it a go, so I decided to trim up my fenders today. I plan on putting the stock fenders back on, but I have not decided how I'm going to do that. To cut them I'm going to use a jigsaw with a thin blade. Is there anything else I should do to prep? Also anybody have a opinion on how to put the stock flares back on?

the stock flares should bolt right back in. if not, just make some new holes and relocate the flares. just tape everything off before you make the cut.

Just redid my flares last week. Depending on how much you trim, you may have to make new holes. I had to. I used all existing hardware, and for back, I had to take off my trim panels and screw the nuts on from the back. Came out good! But I have no pics.

Search coloradojeepxj's page. He has some good pics that helped me.

YA I just finished the fronts and working on the rear right now, harder than I thought to trim, I still need to mount the flares and make new holes. I wish i did it like he did and drilled the hole before hand, but I'm going to do that to back before cutting. Well I'm going back to mission at hand.
