For most wheelers a highspeed rollover isn't the primary concern, it's a relatively low-speed roll/flop.

Keep in mind that the cage only needs to protect you once, it's not a "Re-Useable" product.

The kit in the OP has been around quite a while and I know a lot of local guys that have purchased and installed it. It is a great entry level interior kit that can be added to to suit your individual needs.

If you're building a JeepSpeed rig or comp. rig.....this ain't the kit for you.
I disagree, a well built interior cage should be able to handle a few rollovers safely and keep on kickin. No reason for damage unless there is a pretty serious roll.

I have this cage in my xj. I had them build mine out of DOM and they sent me the feet anyways. All of the bends and lengths were pretty accurate... Good starter kit to build off of for the money imo.

It is, a lot of racing is going over to requiring it now. Other than Jeepspeed or other racing it's overkill in Jeeps though.

How long did the install take you?

It was about a weekend job overall with all the misc. stuff like interior removal/installation, prep work, etc. I believe I had the cage tacked then final welded in pretty quickly...don't remember exactly.

I went ahead and tied it into the uni frame also by sandwiching the floor with 2 cage feet on each side of the floor and welding a piece of tube from the uni frame to the bottom side foot.

I emailed them a few questions for clarification last night, got a reply this afternoon. Followed up with a few more, will post results later.

Hi ____, 11-2587 will fit a XJ Cherokee. It has to be welded together. The front subframe supports will get welded to the roll cage. We have no installed pictures on the webbsite. We are trying to get some pictures on there. When you are ready to order give me a call. Anything else we can help you with let me know. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know they get welded to the cage, but I wanted to know where they get welded to the unibody. I want to see pictures, but given the price they have for DOM it seems like a much better deal and beefier cage than the DandC cage. Curious what they charge for theirs in DOM since they don't list the price. Plus it's 10 point vs 6 point.

I thought I read that it was $600 instead of $450, but I could have misread.

Still a dang good price. Someone also mentioned it could be made better, even without a tube bender. Even more appealing.
