Pre-97 cupholder solution found!
I've been using the crappy screw-on cupholders that hold a can and NOTHING else, and have always kept my eyes out for a cheap/easy solution. Fortunately, I've found one that's good enough to share. Bed Bath & Beyond sells a little $13 (text for a coupon and it's only $10) dual cupholder that is designed to screw onto a wide variety of surfaces. I bought one, and after playing with it for a while, i removed the "canholders," and screwed it right on over the e-brake handle. It fits PERFEFTLY, and holds all kinds of drinks really well. If you use your e-brake as seldom as i do, the placement won't effect your life much...and if you use the e-brake alot, it screws off nice and easy. So for $10-13, the problem is solved and you can take it out and put it on the lawn mower or a beach chair. The brand name is "brica" if they can't be found as easily at the store.

Someone did one kind of like this a while back. They got rhe $12 cup holder from Wally-World. They took a piece of plate that fit over the e-brake, mounted the holder to it and attached that to the console with hinges. Thay way, you can still get to the e-brake and the cubby underneath.

Ya that won't work for me as my center console is full and would pop those out. I saw a jeep when I was looking to buy mine the guy had a up holder mounted to the glove box door and it was like on a gyroscope type mount so no matter the angles your AR the cup would be upright
