I went to the Wadsworth IL pick'n'pull today. Its really sad seeing some of these cash for clunkers cars at the yard. but it sure is nice to get some late model parts finally. There were 4 97+ xj's and about 10 or more pre 97 xj's.

Things i got.
97-01 Xj factory gas tank skid. almost too easy someone droped the tank to pull the fuel pump. It was caught up by a washer on a thru bolt. Zawzall 1 bolt 0.

97-01 headlight bezel that gloss black instead of the one mismatched flat back bezel i had.

12 Neon 2.4 injectors

Factory 3 switch panel , fog light switch was removed but still worth the $1.99 to me.

Factory trans cooler, super easy since someone pulled the whole front off.

of coarse i got the normal screws and clips and stuff thats just a given.

Went to pick-and-pull by my house today in Tucson. Pretty much the greatest day ever
Picked up these speakers for 5 bucks. From the front of a Cash for Clunkers XJ

Walked over to another bone stock XJ and found this! A mastercraft off-road racing seat with the XJ base. Only one in the car but im the driver. Im going to mount it single for now and grab another one down the road so they match. Thing looked brand new. The price was a lil steep but for 25 bucks i figured why not

As i was about to leave i saw an XJ on the forklift being brought out to the yard. My hands were pretty full but im sure glad i took a peek. Grabbed this sound bar with 2 more matching kenwood speakers for 15 dolla.

I also grabbed some window seals, brake lines, an interior trim piece and bolts. Total cost for everything was 55 bucks! Thought i was close to finishing the rebuild of my rig but this tacks a day or two on to things.

Almost done

Good luck with your finds!

Man... I'm jealous... We don't have a decent pick-n-pull around here. If anyone runs across a 2dr with a grey interior near you, I NEED some interior parts- Mostly a Drivers side arm rest/handle!

I live in Tucson, where is this pick 'n pull?
Some a-hole at Aviation Auto Salvage told me there were no pick 'n pulls in town and that they were the best bet for C4C jeeps...

The tucson pick and pull is on camino de la tierra in between orange grove and la cholla. I dont think it is listed in the phone book but it is across the street from chucks trucks to give you a reference point. The junkyards in the area you visited are ridiculous. They sell all parts for like 5 dollars less than new. I stay away from them unless i reallllly reallllly need something. PM me if you need anything special. I have a parts cherokee and a large collection of stock and aftermarket parts.
