hi i have a 97 jeep cherokee sport 2 door the other day i broke down at a light. before it broke down i realized that the volt meter in thr=e dash surged. iv replaced the altenator and ingnition coil it still didnt fire it was missing spark so i looked in the fuse box first good idea i had and fuse 10 - the auto shut down fuse was blown i replaced it with the 25 amp yellow fuse that came out and it blow as soon as i turned the key i then replaced it with 30 amp then fuse 18 blew another 25 auto shut down fuse, i replaced that with a 30 amp and it ran fine but now it has a draw in the system that ate my optima red top battery what did i do wrong and how can i fix this

First thing you did wrong is putting a bigger fuse in. Never go over required amps. Now you need to run through and see what wires you fried or see if there is a related relay that might be shorting out and blowing fuses

If the alternater was not working properlly the battery would always be dead and if you jump it it would dies after like 2 miles if that.
