i was lookin under my jeep and i saw that on both axles that it says spicer on every u-joint on the jeep and on the outside of the pinions,is there anyway how i can tell if i got aftermarket shafts and what not with out takin it all apart?

 

You can use the spicer u joints without replacing the shafts.

I would bet the PO just replaced the worn u joints with the higher quality spicer ones.

 

yea but the outside of the pinions says spicer on it as well,thats what im mainly askin

 

if its a dana(27/30/35/44/60/70/80/etc.) axle there is a very good chance that it was made by Dana/spicer

 

oh ok that must explain it then

 

Mine says the same thing all dana axles say spicer on them to my knowledge
