Quote: 5x4.5, got it. What exactly does that mean? 5 bolts by 4.5 _____?
5 lugs in a 4.5" circle. And I believe there is some mathematical formula that goes with it but who needs that. Haha.

And going back to your original request, here is mine on stock rims with 235's. I didn't use the stock rims when I upgraded to 31's.

It's not a 4.5" circle, it's a circle with a 4.5" diameter. If it were a 4.5" circle your bold pattern would be 5 x 1.4, hardly strong enough to use for anything other than a wheel-barrow lol.

You get this by measuring from the center of one hole to the distant edge of the hole across from it. On 4, 6, and 8 lug patterns you measure center-center of two opposing holes to get your diameter.

I think I may just bite the bullet and get the soft 8s then. I believe the center caps are just pushed in through the back of the wheel. If I bring them to Discount Tire and just said "hey here's the center caps, would you guys mind putting those on when you mount them?" do you think they would mind?

4.5" circle, 4.5" diameter. Like I said its math and who needs it. Do you want a cookie for your math skills?haha
