Default Photoshop Q and How To Remove Trim?

Hey guys. I was wondering if somebody could give me a thread on how to remove the trim off the sides of my Cherokee. Mine are faded, scraped and goofy looking, so I figured I'd take them off. Could there be a possibility of rust under them? My Jeep is very clean and only has minor rust spots on the roof.

Also, could somebody photoshop the trim off my Cherokee? I'd appreciate it

I'll put a pic up asap

I'm thinking about removing mine as well. They just sorta peel off. Like debadging a car. Doubt there will be any rust under there, considering there aren't any holes. Should be pretty simple to remove. The hardest part, is going to be removing the adhesive.

I'm wondering is there any specific way to take these off? Or do you just pull them til they pop right off haha.

And how would I go about removing the adhesive? Is there a writeup on this haha

No specific way i know of. They don't really "pop right off" becasue they're held on by adhesive. It's more like peeling them off. As far as getting the adhesive off, when i debadged my TL, i just used some goo-gone, and it seemed to work pretty well.

Shouldn't be any rust under there. It's painted under there, and the trim/adhesive should have protected it from getting scratched.

You should just be able to peel it off, and then remove the adhesive with goo-gone or something similar.

There's a free program Called GIMP 2, works just like photoshop. You can do it yourself. Here's an example of my XJ with/with out the sides painted black.Attachment 23636
