Just wanted to see your opinions on the perfect PSi. 2002 GC. Stock suspension and whatnot, I'm gunna do a 2" lift this spring. But until then, what do you guys on the tires. It says 33 but I have it at about 28~ cause I love a smooth ride. I wouldn't say I have a rough ride, because it's not at all, but I definitely feel the difference from around 28ish to when I had it at 33. Besides the obvious easier wear on the tires at a lower pressure, what else negative can it do? Is 28 too low, or can I go even lower. Let me know guys! Just wanna see what other people ride.
Put as much air as it takes for the tire to wear evenly. If the center of the tread is wearing quicker, you have too much air in them. If the edges wear quicker, not enough air.
FWIW, the sweet spot on my XJ with 33x9.5 load range c tires on 15x8 wheels is 18-20 psi. Thats where they wear evenly.

The chalk test is best to find out whats perfect for you.Draw a chalk line across the treads and drive it around a little. Then check the chalk line if its gone on the edges not enough air,If its gone in the center too much air.Its not fast to do but once you figure out the best psi remember it and use it.
