The switch in your transfercase has either gone bad or your light went out in your dash, to test it just unplug the the connector that goes into the transfercase (drivers side of the t-case towards the top) and bend a paper clip into a U and put it into the connector and make sure its touching both metal prongs. Then go up and look at your dash, if the lights on then your switch is bad if its not on then you have a bad light in the dashboard. Most likely the switch, my 98 has a bad one and thats whats causing it to not light.

Either the bulb is shot, or something with the sending unit from the transfer case to the light is messed up. Or absolute worse case scenario, your part time is not engaging. Others can give you more help I'm sure.

Haha well where would I find the bulb number on the bulb or on the actual dash? And on the transfer case the only switch that I found has four wires hooked up to it
