so ive given up on restoring the black on my xj. and im going to be spraying bedliner from the body line down. so im looking for a good color to spray the upper half. so im open to ideas.

Id say rescue green or silver/gray. Or go for covering the entire jeep with the liner.

Someone has done that. I think it was white or silver on top. It looked really good. Just cant remember who it was.

i always tell people i will paint it for free if they will let me paint it pink. an old drag race friend of mine once told me about an older guy that he used to race with asked a guy to paint his drag car. he didnt know what color he wanted and asked the painter. the painter was messing with him and said " if you'll paint it pink, ill do it for free". the guy called him on it. he said everyone would laugh when he rolled up to the staging lanes and this big guy got out of a pink car. but then when he waxed the car next to him in a pink race car, everyone would laugh at the guy who got beat by the guy in the pink car.

you know you can have rhino sprayed in color now? they also have stuff called rock guard, its not as think as bedliner, but it has a heavy textured look. mercedes and bmw use it at the bottoms of some of their cars to help with rocks coming off the road. you could use that before its painted and then spray the rock guard the same color as the top?
