Smile Painting stock rims black?

Just bought a 2001 Black XJ all-stock.
No $$$ for new wheels yet so I figured painting rims would be a good first project.
Anyone out there happy/not happy with their stock rims that they've painted?
Pics would be great!
I've heard Duplicolor is the best way to go...
Thanks!!!

clean and sanded with a green scuff pad. with the hammered finish spray you can direct spray right over rust no need to prime unless you want to

went from gray insets to black using John Deere flat black. Been about a year and it's holding up very well.

I also used jd black but not flat its called blitz. Has a little sheen and they look great totally changed the look of my white 99.
Advise: the better you prepare the better they will last.
Spay even and consistant.

PREP PREP PREP!! and paint the backside first, so that runs/drips that come thru holes can be sanded off to paint the front.
