Well I think on this build I want to paint some of the 'key' components under the XJ so they stand out a little and for the fact I have never done it on an XJ build.
Problem is this, my XJ is Chili Pepper Red Pearl Coat and I don't want to have to spend a ton of money to match paint codes, just looking to put some heavy duty style bedliner spray or roll on coating. So decisions will be the standard colors available at any Napa, Autozone, Wal-mart, etc..
What do you think would look good?
Pros and cons of different paints/bedliner?
Thanks all

If your painting the inside of the fender wells.. then hit it with some purple power and a brush, wash it off, then let it dry.. Then its good for paint. Did mine this way and its held up great for 2 years. As far as what kind of paint, i would just use spray paint. If your wanting a specific color, you can have any color you want mixed up at a paint shop and put into a spray can, however some shops can do this and some others cant.. But personally IMO i wouldnt waste my money paying alot for paint going on the underneath of the vehicle..
If this is for rust prevention, i recommend bedliner over paint. If this is for looks/slight rust protection, go with the paint.

ya thinking I will just do some rustoleum maybe, thinking charcoal to match the wheels. found a textured or hammered look that I like that I think with stand out a little and help with rust protection out here in Colorado. will plan on the body (lower portion) at some point for that two-tone look. as of now leaning towards the spray on though.
recommend to sand/scuff it first or what is the norm for repainting components below? thanks
