Default over heating issue

Hey guys, I am having an over heating issue with my 1996 jeep cherokee classic. I was driving down the highway with the a/c on and i noticed the over heat light came on. Now, my jeep doesn't have a gage so when it over heats a red light comes on. I pulled over to check it out and nothing to jump out at me. I turned the heat on to take some of the heat away from the motor and eventually the light went off. In the past i have replaced the thermostat, radiator and water pump. I am a little confused on what the issue might be. Any suggestions will help!

This belongs in oem tech. Was there coolant coming out anywhere?

Idk how trustworthy that light is. Maybe your fan clutch or your radiator is blocked.

I had to pull my radiator to repair it last year. I popped the tanks off and it was clogged which is why i over heated even when full. Since I can get a new one for 60$, I just did that rather than spend the money on tank gaskets and my time flushing and rodding the tubes. So maybe pull the radiator out and bring it to a radiator shop to be flushed out.

If you have it out might as well just replace it. It's cheap enough
