what he meant by two bolts hold it on is that you would have to take it off yourself from the junk yard

I get that I would have to take it off my self. I go to the jy once a month. Is it really held on by just two bolts or is there more? because if its only held on by two bolts then it is not srong enough in my book. What ever the amount of bolts it is, I understand that it is easy to take off now.

My bad there are 4 bolts, mine is missing a bolt. Here is a pic to give you an idea of the protection it offers.(kind of a bad angle.) The one in your link was beefier but as i stated earlier what do you need it for? Are you going to be rock crawling or just worried about high centering?

thanks. That pic shows me what I need to see. I plan to do some rock crawling but not all the time. My wife is going to be wheelin this and I want her to be able to high center and not worry about it. Im kinda hard on my rig when I wheel and my wife is no better so I think the stock skid is not enough to give me peace of mind. Thanks everyone for all the input. for 85 bucks, I think its worth not having to find one and take off at a jy.

Well I think if your going to be going on any rocks at all then get an upgraded one. And for 85 bucks you cant go wrong. I dont play on rocks just mud, sand and trails so tree stumps are pretty much the only thing I have to worry about.
