Default Opinions on keeping/getting rid of roof rack

I recently purchased a cherokee that has a roof rack. I am a fan and like the looks of it but I don't see myself using it much. As I don't go on long trips of 4-wheeling. What I need to carry can fit inside. I am driving to Arizona soon though.... Pros and cons of them? Worth keeping or selling on CL?

Kinda hard to tell but it looks a little small for your Jeep. I took mine of months ago and never missed it.

Roof rack pros:

You'll look like Joe Hardcore, especially if you pack the rack with tons of stuff you'll never use on your commute to the office, such as a shovel, axe, gas can, high lift jack, 20 KC's ect.

Note: Don't store stuff IN the rack, mount shovel, axe, jack, ect. on the OUTSIDE of the rack so everyone can see them!

Roof rack Cons:

It'll cost you MPG's and make wind noise.

I will never own a woof wack. They look wacky tacky to me. jmho. I do appreciate what other people use them for though. If you get excited looking at it keep it, if not its just dead weight.

I kinda missed the way my xj looked with my surco roof rack and tire on top. I do feel less top heavy without the rack and 33 inch tire on top though

Im in the same boat reall. I inherited a rack and threw it on since it was free. Its nice if I need to throw the spare up top if im hauling stuff. But thats not very often.

Ill probly end up takin it off since I won't be putting anything on it

They can come in handy. Ever see National Lampoon's movie "Vacation" with Chevy Chase?

It's worthless. That being said, want to sell it cheap?
