^This, I've never heard of a "core-charge" for a body part. Especially a fiberglass one, it is not like it has any value as scrap metal or anything, just more garbage for them to dispose of, but I guess if they want to pay for your garbage you might as well give it to them.

Got the new gate on this morning. Sure is nice to have it back.
Still have to do some soldering and replace the latch mechanism, but other than that it's good to go.
