Working on the inside of the door and put everything back together.... locked door and shut it.... keys were inside.... went to unlock door and discovered I had disconnected the lock linkage and not reinstalled it. Had to climb in from the rear hatch because passenger side wouldn't work either.

I was pressing new U-joints into my axle shafts last week and on the very last cap I cranked half a turn too far and POP goes the U-joint. Luckily it was only $10 so it was more of a waste of time than money.

I put in a new tie rod but forgot to tighten the bolts... Was driving down the road to go mudding and the driver-side of my tie rod fell off and was pulled down the road. Good thing I had extra nuts with me

Had finished painting at dusk.
Was cleaning my windows with industrial window cleaner in a can.
Put it down picked back up, and sprayed paint directly on my window. I nearly **** myself.

I sprinted to my garage to grab the acetone.

Was putting a transmission cooler in a buddies xj for him. Used the little push-zip-tie thingys. One wouldn't go through. Used a scribe to make a hole. It did make a hole.....right through the core. There is nothing more pitiful than hearing his 3 core all aluminum radiator pissing itself at 10 o clock at night. FAIL! he rolled it 2 weeks later.

I replaced my radiator almost a year ago and a couple months later the jeep was leaking oil. Well I searched for months and finally found the problem last week. I guess I didn't get the lower oil cooler line fully connected. I finally got it connected right and low and behold no oil leak!

It wasn't on the XJ but I was upgrading the rear brakes from drums to disks on my GMC Typhoon. In order to do so, both axles need to be removed. I parked just close enough to the garage wall for the axle to not come all the way out.

Any sane person would move the offending piece of drywall - what are the chances that it'd be right on a stud...(sigh)
