Default Is it OK if I close it?

I spent this morning looking for this rubber elbow, but I saw an old Cherokee with this hole closed. Is it OK if I close it?

I could be wrong but, thats a vaccume line and needs to stay connected. the older xjs are setup a bit differently so they may not need that line, it came like that then it must be on there for a reason, why would u want to unplug it anyways?

DO NOT PLUG IT! Nah, I don't really know. Just best bet is to keep it open. It's more than likely there for a reason.

It pushes the alternator to a certain voltage to make the flux capacitor work while making the rpms rise to make you go that extra invisible 3mph up to 88mph and transport you back to 1955 to save your parents relationship and your very existence. yea... i wouldnt unplug it. you might explode. just sayin. i seent it

The three that are pictured are there for 1. crankcase vent 2. supply vacuum for the HVAC system and cruise control 3. for the evap emmissions. You will NOT gain any horsepower by disconnecting any of those lines.

I'm going to do it on mine, I can go back in time and get a brand new 85 Jeep Cherokee with no miles on it. http://www.imcdb.org/i002301.jpg

I was woundering in 2002 were you able to still buy a Cherokee Brand new? Kinda goes in these types of years, not sure why, I'm going to pick a 2000 Cherokee, It says made in 1999 buy says its a 2000, then in 2000 they made a 2001, but say its a 2001.
