i have a 1995 jeep cherokee sport 4x4 4.0 im haven problems with my air filter loaded with oil. anyone know how to fix this problem. o and im told it has no pcv valve.

 

Yes it is called blowby. It is caused by there being increased pressure in your valvecover from compression leakage, usually past valve stems. The real solution is a rebuild but you can often delay that by new valve seals and a complete cleaning of the internals of the valvecover.

 

i thought blow by was from piston rings

 

I had the same problem, I took the vc off and cleaned the sludge out of it and now it still does this but not near as bad.

 

have same problem even after the valve seals..going to try to clean valve cover internals next
