Oil leak

First that's your problem, Pepboy....No No No if you love your Jeep like I love mine you go and get yourself a mechanic. Not a stop and go **** dump like Pep boy. WTF are you thinking, seriously. Check the oil filter adapter ( I just got mine fixed for $99 that's parts, labor and oil change) or oil pressure sending unit, could also be a bad rear main seal job or gasket leak. Sounds like you need to find your OWN mechanic, or do it yourself, You can find the parts at a salvage yard for less, although Rear Main Seal is not expensive. Look in your yellow pages or online for a good reliable mechanic that you take your Jeep to and ONLY get anything done with them, seriously you will add years to the life of your Jeep. No Joke NO MORE PEPBOYS!!! Good Luck

I do almost all of my own work on my jeep. the only exception being jobs that require air tools or a welder. For those jobs i have a trusted Mechanic who has worked on and sold cars to my family since before i was born. If the mechanic gets stumped I have an old engineer friend who can troubleshoot and fix damn near anything.

I took it back and they replaced the Oil filter gasget, this seems to resolve the leak. I am planning to replace the rear shock absorber and wonder any recommendation regarding what brand should I go for. Currently I am using the 3" lift, should I use the 4" shocks to get a smoother ride?

Glad to hear the leak got fixed, mine too was leaking and it was the oil filter adapter. So I have a Skyjacker 3" lift package, with 3" shocks and I it drives VERY smooth. I think the only company I would every use is Skyjacker. They are AMAZING and I have never had any problems. Have fun and good luck!

I also recommend the skyjacker lifts. And as to the oil leak another possible cause is a plugged up PCV valve. That is a cheap fix!
