Oil filter problem
I recently got a 1996 jeep Classic and I seen it had a problem leaking a lot of oil from the filter .i thought it was a bad filter so I put a new one in and it still has the same problem .its a non stop flow when it leaks .i turn on the jeep and it shows 80 psi and when it starts to leak ,it drops to 0 ...help .
[QUOTE=onew1ckedxj;3365151]Bad O-ring on the Oil filter adapter? Or is it leaking directly from the filter?[/QUOTE
its leaking in the end part of the filter were it meets the adapter.it leaks non stop as if it was clugged up and didn't have no were else to go .i recently put a new sending unit and did a recent oil change .during the process ,i took out the old filter, during that ,a o ring (opinion) fell Off .wasnt to sure if it was or not so I bought the o rings and a oil pressure gauge to see the next steps into solving this problem

And you are 100% sure you don't have 2 oil filter gaskets on by accident (old one stuck to adapter)??
Even if the adapter o-ring (where it meets the block) was shot, it shouldn't leak out that bad or it would be obvious it was the oil-filter-adapter o-ring

Huh!
Didn't you notice that there was no gasket on the oil filter?
You do know you're supposed to lubricate the oil filter gasket with engine oil before you screw it in!

I got a 1996 jeep cherokee Classic and it recently got a really rough misfiring sound .it happens every 4 to 7 seconds .oil pressure is all the way to 80 .its been sitting in the drive way and just had it running .could it be bad fuel injectors if there loose ??

Use your ones and zeros pokey bit to talk to the XJ or take it to advanced auto and they will use their own pokey bit to tell you why your Jeep is sick.
Or if you have an astromech droid with experience programming binary load lifters, utilize it. Load lifters communicate in a similar language to the XJ. The droid should be able to communicate to the XJ before a time-out protocol is established by the XJs adaptive AI.
If the droid gives you a CANNA-BUS comm error, you have a Cheech and Chong edition R2 unit, try feeding cheesy poofs into the droids RS232 port and re-establish communication with a baud rate of 420. Should work.
Hope that helps.
