Off-road designs....
What's up fellas
Saw a cherokeeforum member today and he had pretty neat functional designs on A hitch driven highlift jack holder/roto pack holder/ shovel and even be custom to fit a spare tire on there....
Tell me what you guys think....I really don't have that much pics but pretty cool
He also showed me a smart way of using the spare stock jack when to use on loose gravel and mud...pretty cool stuff

The only hitch mounted spares I've seen all end up being pretty wobbly. That setup looks kind of sketch. Cheers to your buddy for going for it and fabbing something but it doesn't look super functional. Maybe I'm wrong. That happens plenty haha.

It looks really nice but I can see no way that it could be very sturdy and not rattle around with that height and weight with only a single attachment point.
As for a Hi-Lift jack base nothing takes the place of the plastic large one made for it. I have 4x4's but they are uneven when pressure is applied to them with just the jack plate. My tire carrier bumper has a built-in Hi-Lift mount std. on it so no problems here.
I considered a Roto-Pack for my spare tire but they are small so I used a 5 gal. composite gas can with the fill and spout on a corner. It looks somewhat like a Jerry Can and lays flat in my roof rack it does not leak a drop and straps down well.

it's what I use mine for.... When I need to change the oil, or Change a tire... Well really anything that the mower needs to be lifted... I've also used it to spread things apart like some supports on one of those little trailers you pull behind a lawn mower.
