Default Odds and ends, generally good but...

Greetings, all
Well, my 2000 Cherokee Sport stepped up to the mark this month with the usual lengthy summer trip across the Adirondacks, the Green Mountains, the White Mountains, and into the Rangeley Lakes in far Maine.
Most of it was state or county highway, some Interstate, and some considerable 4Lo with Selectrac. Bouncier than hell in the 2.5 mi. mud-and-rock trail in and out to my cabin and same for the 1.5 mi in 2Hi on bad gravel road to where my kids have a place.
I decided to burn premium hightest instead of regular on the advice of a friend, given the age and 175,000 mileage of my Cherokee. It actually seemed to run smoother and got better mileage. Worth the expense, at least for now. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Is it a good idea or waste of money?
Only problem was the emissions light came on, as it does every year. I am about to replace the fourth oxygen sensor so it will pass inspection in November.... Also, any opinions on the emissions/oxygen sensor situation?
Next big trip in about six weeks. See you around.

Agreed on the brand, but just another known issue with the 00/01's the damned O2 sensors it seems.
