Got the cover pulled off the case finally after the top bolt 10mm 12 point was stripped out. Chain was super loose. It was a 1" 31 link. Just ordered another from alloy USA. All gears looked in good shape. Had a lot of crud in the bottom of it though. Thick gunk. Not metal. Priced some SYEs. Not really wanting to spend that right now. Just trying to get the jeep going since I just bought it.

The nut on that front yoke out of the transfer case is causing problems. It's tight as hell can't get it to budge. It isn't left hand threads by any chance is it? I'm using an impact and I'm trying to get away from using a breaker bar because ill have to drop my cross member and all those mounts to get to it like that.
