My jeep came with AC, 4x4, leather seating, all power options, mirrors included, automatic transmission, heck it even came with a roof rack for all of the anonymous activities we do... But quick question, why the hell don't I have cup holders?!

thats why.
if you bought it from some one they probably took them out because the only thing the "hold" is a can. also its in an extremely poor spot, i mean really RIGHT over the e-brake come on people.

Thats not the only reason one would want an emergency brake, but ok.

That is a good idea, especially on inclined surfaces takes the strain off of the transmission. I had to train my wife to do this as well.

LMAO! That's the exact same question that came to mind when I bought my 90 2dr. There are cup holders for the rear passengers but, not in the front??? I bought one of those that goes over the e-brake handle, installed and took it right back out because it sucks. The cups are too shallow, too small to hold anything bigger than a can and it's just in the way. If your center console has the to little slots on the right side however, you can use one of these. It's not much better but, at least it's out of the way.

Its also a good idea to have an emergency brake for....EMERGENCIES.

Brakes could fail, so they put in the emergency brake, among other reasons of course.

My cousin was driving around the Memphis TN area a decade or so ago. Her brakes failed, a line popped randomly or something. She just aimed for what she thought was the safest thing to hit and hoped for the best. She got lucky.

After I asked why she didnt use the emergency brake. She was baffled.

Yes it is... they are built into the side panel where the back door would be.

I can tell that it never had cup holders over the e brake because I have power windows. None in the back either. Fully loaded my butt, take your power windows and give me a damn cup holder!

Yeah, I don't think that one was OEM either and I think you mean "power mirrors". It does have a knock out panel though, that allows you to relocate your power mirror switch so that it's still usable.
I believe the one that goes on the side of the center console however, is OEM because my center console has two slots for it.
