Yeah I did the same exact thing on my tails a couple months ago. The stuff was like $4 at Michael's so I was pretty happy.. Anyways, Now I have red turn signals with a black tint on top of them. It looks good

They're lighter in person, you can still see a hint of red in them during the day.

It all depends on the officer. Most states dont allow you to tamper with your DOT approved lighting but unless you are being a dick to the cop they will not bust you on it.

Also if you go too dark and get rear ended you might end up being at fault.

Michigan is pretty loose on vehicle modding laws, except for tint . We don't have emission inspections, HID laws, or DOT lighting laws. It's pretty awesome lol. I'm always nice to officers, they're just doing their job and it's nothing personal so why act against them? It's always better to be friendly.

Mine are way darker and have not been pulled over. You should be fine
