Newbie from Cali!!!
Hey everybody, I'm now an official Jeep owner!
I have a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, that I acquired from my wife's uncle, for a couch swap!!!
It has 127K on a 4.0, O/D Tranny, new tires and brakes
It needed a new water pump, 2 new idler pulley bearings, serpentine belt, and it's gonna need a new radiator. oh and some minor passenger door issues.
Other than that, she's a great runner! Strangely enough, it's a 2wd.. very interesting for a Jeep.
I'm a Chevy guy, but couldn't pass this up!!! Can anyone tell me how reliable are these model jeeps?? Did some research online, and they seem to fair pretty well... Curious about the transmission life and such. It's really going to a be a around town for my wife and daughter ride.
Also, the interior is really clean! Wife's uncle is a 50 yr old retired U.P.S. bachelor, who went Hybrid with a new Altima. Issues are a missing center A/C vent, the rear pass door lock won't work electronically, one rear shock for the back hatch is busted.
One thing I am really curious about is, the dome lights all work, but the cover for the front one busted, so the bulbs are exposed, but what is that electrical mother board looking thiing that is attached??? I unplugged it, but what does it do?
Thanks !!!

I love my 95 ZJ, its been very reliable for me and it has 195k on the clock. It's very easy to convert yours to 4 wheel drive, simple bolt ons.

I'm ok without the 4 wheel drive, I just couldn't believe they actually made them without it. I always thought that's what Jeeps were about.
