My parents told me they'd buy me an of road bumper for Christmas as long as it isn't over $300. I found one on Nate's 4x4 for $270. Are they a pretty good brand or would I be better off saving money and buying a more expensive one down the road to get a better quality bumper?
After weighing the options, I decided I'm going to rattle can the hood as soon as the weather gets warm enough. I'm going to sand down the clear coat and paint over the factory base coat. I also took off the fake hood scoops yesterday because most of the adhesive was wearing out and one was cracked and I wanted to see how bad the clear coat was under them.
Today I went to Lowes and got the sandpaper and sanding block and masking tape to do the job. I can't wait to get started on it because my uncles think I won't be able to make it look decent and I want to prove them wrong. I'll keep you guys updated on things I do to it. I think I'm getting a stinger bumper next month so that'll give me something to do until it gets warm and maybe one of my other uncles will let me use his garage to put the bumper on. He already told me I can't paint in there or I would have already started the hood.
