i think im going to try a new look as far as roof racks go... bear with me on this......
Right now i have my kayak rack on the drivers side and id like to have a roof rack for the extra space for tackle, coolers, camping gear, another kayak, shovels, etc. and im thinking a 2' wide rack running about 5 1/2' long on the passengers side. It would be square the whole way around, but have the dips at the front and back running lengthwise, kind of like an M. I think with the dips at the front and back i could put longer things in it, like a kayak. Anybody ever seen anything like this?? any other ideas or insight would be greatly appreciated. I have pretty good custom fab skills and access to pretty much any tools, so the sky is the limit on this one!

i've got a question about roof racks..... my '91 came stock without the rack rails so i cant mount one which sucks. so im thinking of fabricating one. my thought is to drill two holes on each side, above the rear window, below the rain gutter and attaching the roof rack to bolts screwed through the frame. any comments or advice are welcome. thanks
