Default new to jeeps. :)

Hey guys, just bought a 99 Cherokee sport. My question is: is it a xj? I don't understand the styles? So for my stupidity. But it never hurts to ask, right?

So true. Example: parts counter guy - "does your Cherokee have a v8?"

No, my Cherokee, NOT grand Cherokee, has a 4 liter.

The most aggrevating example of this is when you are wanting to buy an XJ...nothing more disappointing than clicking on a craigslist ad titled "1996 Cherokee, low miles, like new, $1500" only to find out its a grand cherokee...

What they always ask:
"Is that a Grand Cherokee or Regular Cherokee?"

Pshhhh.

Best bet is to go in with a part number so you don't have to sit and listen to that.

to solve this issue when searching

search for this
Jeep Cherokee -grand

that will eliminate any posts with the word grand in it. That will get ride of 90% of the grand Cherokee ads.

OP welcome to the nightmare of the jeep world. So terrifying you will always want to leave but never have the heart to do so.

Here's pics of my jeep. It wouldn't let upload photos right on the forum?
