I am going to consider new exhaust systems as an upgrade, not a modification. But if you remove the cat, that's a mod. No Smoke stacks, no flamethrowers....
So Let It Be Written, So Let It Be Done!!

Let's clear this up (and give Jakbob something to whine about). This group is for stock Cherokees (including GCs). Stock means that the structure (unibody, suspension, bumpers, grill, body panels and seats) appear unmodified from their factory appearance. Personally, I think this should include wheels and tires but it's not my group.
Modest accessorizing like fog lights, roof racks (provided they aren't welded to the roof), factory-ish tire carriers, CB antennas, engine modifications (but your blower can't stick through the factory hood), lockers, stereos, window tint, seat covers, floor mats, dash covers, silly double-bladed wipers, flag poles, Hello Kitty stickers, badges, exhaust, H4 headlights, LED interior/exterior indicator, dome, instrument, parking and brake lights, synthetic lubricants, brake pads, calipers, and rotors, braided lines, backup beepers and fuzzy dice are allowed as long as they don't permanently alter the overall stock appearance.
Aftermarket suspension lifts, snorkels, permanently affixed off-road lights, chop tops, winch bumpers, mesh grills, cages, and sliders are not.
I was thinking about covering mine in that new-fangled fake grass, which would exclude me from the group. But it just looks so real! It comes in different colors, now, too. I digress.

Again, you're under the mistaken assumption that a Jeep's off-roadiness is based on what you do to it, not with it
DOH!: You edited your post! My quote above is what it said, pre-edit
The truth is, there are places I can go in my stock-height XJ that my high-rise brethren cannot. My garage, for instance.

I may him-haw about letting that hidden blower in the group, but probably will as long as they have pics and video of it.....just for the shear curiosity.
