Not one of those auto open/close jobs.
I too have the button, with the lock/unlock key slot in the center of it.

My hatch occasionally flies open when I push the button, too. The PO must have replaced the struts recently because that thing will fly up and hit you in the face if you're not paying attention. I think XJs with the fiberglass hatch (lighter) are more prone to this. If you've got a lever, your hatch is made of metal.

Yeah I have a lever and a metal hatch with it being a 2000. I have to help it up. Although, I think the struts need to be replaced because back when it was cold, the hatch wouldn't stay up completely but it stays now that it is warmer out.

Here is my co-pilots. Two Weimaranars. Willie & Bella, They also think they own everything. The Jeep, the house (and all food inside), the bed, the couch. But they are great dogs. Attachment 135462

No that was Dalmatians, That was my previous dog. Weimaranars are German. Breed for running down deer and bear. And other upland game hunting. And boy do they hate squirrels. They will jump out of the moving car, for them.

Default Tires

Hey Guys!

So I need some advice from some stockers, (Thank god this group is here.) I had to make a difficult decision on if I wanted my door welded back to the body of my Jeep, or get a set of tires. I went with getting the door back on, because the body shop told me one day I'd walk out find the door had fell off. Haha! So now I get the joy of finding a nice set of four tires so it will pass Rhode Island Safety Inspection, because all four of my tires are bald! WOOT WOOOOT! Hahaha! Anyways, any advice would be appreciated. BTW, This is what one of my tires look like now. I'm driving it home unregistered with 2010 tags with California plates from the Body Shop, Wish me luck!!!
