Hey all,
I was just wondering what peoples thoughts were on the new 2014 Cherokee? I currently have a 2001 Cherokee which I'm going to build eventually and will never sell, but I'm also getting old
and like a nice quiet comfy ride with the latest electronics at least for going to and from work. The new grand Cherokee is great but a little big and pricey for my tastes so I've been researching the new Cherokee and I was just wondering what peoples thoughts were. Thanks.

It's got the same name, and a Jeep sticker on the front grille, but definitely not worth calling a Jeep or comparing to the early Cherokee.
It's nothing more than a fancy Hyundai-looking thing in my opinion.

Honestly I'd love to try one out. They may be ugly, but who knows maybe theres still a little bit of Jeep in there. Lol
Besides I wonder what Chrysler/Fiat would cover under warranty? Maybe go break a few things

Junk! It is an american disgrace to even put the name JEEP on the POS.
I'd buy one just to set it up some place and let everyone take swings at it with a sledgehammer.
Then do some rifle practice with it.,,blast the thing full of holes.
And finally ignite the thing in a ball of flames and burn it into the ground....while singing Kum by Yah!
next QUESTION??? LOL
on a side note: $10k would buy you a beautiful older REAL Jeep....and imagine what you could get with 20-25k??

Haven't really heard any valid arguments against it. Newer should be better right? Of course we can start with the looks and I agree that it's ugly. The only other things to compare at this point would be the published stats. I understand it's not the original but why the hatred? What if this vehicle kept up with and did better than your original Cherokee off road? Would it then get approval? I'm not defending Chrysler on this, I am just curious as to the negativity towards a vehicle that hasn't even been proven yet.
