im gonna put a strap of velcro through my front roof mount,if im in the trees ill bend it and strap it,its does work if you have a spring, otherwise with the heavy spring,i run it staight up lol.used to be in a cb club, long time ago.Checkin swr readings this weekend.
I made the mount,tried for 2 screws,some scrap and a welder!

less than 100 bucks for the radio, about 40 bucks for the antenna and fittings including the spring,if you are gonna run a 102" whip you will NEED a heavy duty spring,no bull****,get it,the mount was about 3 bucks worth of steel and some playing, coax you get buy the foot, depends on where you are,i bought 15 feet of 5/8 coax,7 bucks.Havent had a chance to talk to anyone on it yet,not much cb traffic where i am.If you have any questions i would be glad to assist.
