just buy a 4 door JK, its the only thing we will get thats remotely close to an XJ. IF you want an overinflated Fiat, with cast aluminum differentials with no skids (on the trailhawk) and you wanna pay 40 grand for something that looks like a hyundai...
The only thing good about these is they are built like a tank, the front wheel drive 4 cylinder weighs in at 4000lbs, so they chassis aint gonna flex. now, a 4.0L/4wd XJ weighs about 3600lbs, has more power and solid axles, sure the XJs unibody creaks and flexes, but thats why you can brace it easily.

Now that ain't so bad, it's a grand but it's kinda cool. Also it has technology that has been PROVEN, the KL's will turn out alright I guess but one thing this grand makes a fool out of the KL is the fact as said by Jeremy Clarkson is "MOOOORRREEEE POWWWWEEEEERRRR."
Let's see :
SJ V8
XJ:
Yes there was the failure of the 2.8 or whatever GM produced
BUT
4.0L
and the 2.5 wasn't so bad
KL:
2.4L - eh ok
3.2L - hmm
WK2:
3.0L Diesel - Confirmed for US 2014
3.6L VVT
5.7L VVT
I would take the WK2 Grand any day over the KL.

Your problem, not mine. But I do understand. But from the app, you can easily look at my other posts, and should have been easy to figure out. But whatever at this point. I think we're both done with the whole bit.

Can you guys take the *****-fighting elsewhere? This thread has like 10 pages of useless **** in it. The OP wanted to talk about his new Jeep and how nice it is to drive on the street, not your interpersonal problems or how hard it is to make into a rock crawler.

so what i find funny is that everytime jeep does some big change almost always a uproar. when they got rid of the 4cyl. square headlights on a wrangler. get rid of the 4.0. yes some times jeep makes a bad choice sometimes it works out. but if they sold the same thing always they would go under. is the xj a classic rig that the everyday person can fix and build on yes. does it have its flaws oh yes it does any design thats been around for as long as it was will.
the new cherokee may not align exactly with what xj owners want thats fine most the time xj owners want a xj. the new rig will have growning pains and may not do well then again it may last for along time at that point it has earned it place along the jeeps of old.
as for the higher education thing. thats not true about working on newer rigs. some people just dont like to. I have worked on newer bmw got through the work doesnt mean i any educated than some of these guys of here that build amazing xj's

This site is 90% useless stuff, what is your point! The site owners and moderators encourage it. Makes them revenue (more pages = more ad revenue).
