Default Never Seen This Before

So stalking Craigslist, Ebay, etc I came across this:

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...46413196629215

Got curious cause the wood panel exterior kit was something I had never seen before.
Which led me to this:

https://www.autotrimdesign.net/Jeep_...hics_Kit_1.asp

Not really sure how I feel about it. And that is with not even taking the price of the kit into consideration.
Which is up there at $500.
I don't see myself doing this but did think it is different.
Thinking a lot of it depends on the color of the Jeep.
Just curious as to what you guys think?

Ralph and his Craiglist addiction. Appreciate you man I always know who to go to if I need to find a weird part for the Jeep.

If I wanted to do a super classic resto I would buy these in a hot second. I think the wood grain is as old school Wagoneer/Cherokee as it gets and we all know that when it comes to Jeeps price is not an issue don't kid yourself

Will do! but it won't be for quite some time. I need to finish getting it road worthy before I start doing body work (and it needs a fair amount of that).

For your Jeep if it can pass for factory close enough all day long.
When I was saying not sure how I feel about it was thinking for newer '97 to '01 body styles.
If you do it would also be curious about what you think.
Passable for factory replacement or not?

Well my Craigslist addiction stems from me somehow getting it in my head that I wanted to turn my Sport into a LImited/Up Country/Police Version/European Orvis XJ clone of sorts.
Wanting to add options and select accessories (both Mopar and aftermarket) that might Jeep did not come with.
Also taking a few things from other years and other Jeeps.
For instance. '97 to '01 came with this cheesy tarp cargo cover which I was able to source. I want to try and put the retractable '96 and down one in my '00.
Which I have sourced all the parts for also.
I sourced a '96 and down rear tire carrier that I might try to put on some year.
Also saw where a couple guys had cut '98 Grand Cherokee 5.9 hood louvers in their XJ's. Loved the look so I had to do that.
Not to mention the spare tire cover from that Grand Cherokee cause it just looks cool. LOL.
And for the record I blame everybody here for that. MLOL.
I just came around when I first bought the Jeep looking for insight into basic repairs.
Was just supposed to be a simple little refresh.
Then I saw what other guys were doing and all the options that mine did not come with.
Still looking for those last "unicorn" bits.
Camel heated seats. Would settle for just the bottoms in decent usable condition.
I have heated seats in my Jeep but they are Agate. And you really can't tell cause of the seat covers I run.
Also want an 8.25 factory LSD and change from a Command Trac to a Select A Trac transfer case.
To mention a few.

Wow didn't realize there were so many extras. Send it my way if you find a 96- rear air dam been wanting one of those for ages but all I can find is the 97+ one and I don't think it fits the older jeeps correctly.
My goal for my build is to restomod the vehicle but exterior modifications are okay as long as the Jeep keeps its aesthetic look, for example, I think every exterior light on the XJ should always be square because wranglers have circular lights and XJ's have square. I've been thinking about this as I've built my XJ XD it has been a really fun challenge because I would love to do things like changing the steering wheel but instead, I have to modify the steering wheel and its look to fit the original aesthetic.

Look up this XJ by Workshop Wilderness Adventures I drool every time I look at it because before he started to do really crazy modifications to it he had this look that was so perfectly balanced between stock and modified I've watched his videos so many times for reference when working on my XJ.

You'll be surprised by this, people often use this as their ideal Overland style XJ but I actually don't think this XJ is modified enough to really bring out the lines the XJ has. For example bumpers are a big deal to me, this bumper cuts off at the front way to soon (probably to fit the tires) and this leaves such an ugly look to it. Can't have things like that on my XJ no no no

I can keep an eye out for a rear '96 and down air dam for you.
And pretty sure you are right about '97 and up not working.
I think '96 and down actually attaches to the hinges. But not sure.
'97 and up is attached to the body. I have one but the plastic mounts are broken.
Plus I have a European Orvis Spoiler Reproduction for my '00.
But my hatch is a little tweaked and causing leaking problems when on.
So I need to figure out how to make that stop.
Also there is a notch for the third eye in the '97 and up.

Pretty sure he is looking for a factory one.
Plenty of pictures of them on Jeeps out there but I did find this:

http://yahoo.aleado.com/lot?auctionI...276#enlargeimg

Not sure what the part number is. See the 2 on the instructions?
But this is good cause it shows what I am guessing is all the parts that make it up.
And that is important if buying it off Ebay. You do stuff like this you need to make sure
you get everything for the install. Why research is important.
I would like to know what the part number is though.
Cause in the case of NOS they might use that in the listing.

Yes I want a stock one

But this is the only none-stock one I've found that I would definitely put on if I don't find a stock one before I get to the time of purchase.

With the tent and roof rack on the top of the XJ I can just tie this in with whatever type of bracketry I need to fab up.
