This finally got diagnosed (NSS)...intermittent back-up lights...they would come on when I wiggled the shift lever; so far it starts fine in P or N.
Can the NSS be taken apart, cleaned, then reused?
Would/does an after-market part fit? (sometimes the wiring harness's are not as long as the OEM part). Prices for an after-market are approximately $300; the dealer price is $414 ( I was quoted a price from my mechanic for an OEM part at $498 - they are making some monies off of parts!).
Thanks for your input!

You can fix it yourself provided it's not worn to bad. This young lady did hers along with a heck of a write up. I did mine about 6 months ago with no problems.
