Default Need help with my XJ lift setup

So I've finally decided to put a lift kit on my 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I only have 29 inch tires but they are brand new so I dorm want to spend the money to get bigger ones yet. I'm thinking a 2 inch suspension lift? I have no idea if that would look good with that size tire. If anyone has any suggestions that you think would be helpful feel free to help out. Or if you have pictures that would be even better.

I would go 3 or 3.5 inch lift full springs front and back,Then save up and wait to do 33s and regear it to match the tires maybe throw some lockers in it while its apart.

Welcome to CF. I ran the Rubicon Express 2" budget boost on my Xj for over a year on 235's before I lifted it higher. It had all I needed for less than 300 bucks.

This is the way to go for $438 you can buy an excellent quality made in NA full coil/leaf spring/shocks/mounting hardware from Rustys Off Road. That way you get new springs to replace the old sagging ones not just an AAL on old leafs. Then your ready for larger tires later on knowing the springs will hold up well for what ever you throw at it.

Wouldn't it look strange with a 3 inch lift kit and only 235s on it?

A little but 3 inches isn't as bad as 6 or higher would look.

No. Look in my photos for a pic just after I finished a 3" lift and still had 235's on. In the parking lot.

I still have 235's, but they are 235/85
