Red face Need some advice :)

Hi all, first post here as I am just beginning to seriously look at Cherokee's.

I found a solid 90 Cherokee here in town and just need to make sure that the price is fair.. I'm looking to use it as a daily driver (short commute <10 miles a day) and offroad..

It's a 6cyl auto with just under 200k on it, has a Rusty 5" suspension lift, stock axles as far as i know, heavy diamond plate bumpers and 31x10.50s. He's askin 2,700 but I think with this economy and offering cash I could get him down to 2,200 or so.

Anyway just a little input would be great, I've been browsing these forums and you guys really seem to know what your talking about so I value your opinions.

Thanks in advance!

IMHO it seems like a little too much money. Over here in NJ they are about 1000-1500 for something similar to what you can get. I would offer him 2000 tops...Just My Opinion...Tj

for that kinda money you can get a cheap cherokee stock bolt everything on and have the satisfaction of saying you did it and you will no it was done right i personally will never buy anything modified by someone else unless i know the person to much could have been done wrong not saying that it wasnt done right but i like doing it my self plus you can probably do it cheaper yourself IMHO no more then 1750 for that many miles

I got my 96 with 130,000 miles for $1400. Don't pay a dime over $2000, its a rip off. Keep looking, you'll find one cheaper and you can use it as leverage, or just buy the cheaper one. X2 You should definitely do the lift and upgrades yourself.

Alrighty thanks for the responses guys, I will probably offer him 2k, I know that the lift was actually professionally installed with no blocks or anything so it shouldn't give me any problems, I'll let you all know what ends up going down. Thanks again for the input
