Default need to make a snorkel that dosnt cut threw the quater panel

i wanna make a snorkel that goes threw the winsheild motor area because i dont wanna cut threw the quater panel so i was wondering if there is a step by step thread to it or something because i wanna do it this week

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that's called the firewall.

Also, like the other guy posted, look into a cowl snorkel. Here's another photo of one.

one of my xj buddies cut a hole in the left side of the firewall going into the windshield wiper motor area, put a cone filter in inside that cavity, there's lots of room in there, the wiper motor is on the drivers side in there.

i think im just cut into the firewall and make a cowl intake. thanks guys and yea sorry about the spelling im not the best

Seems like a fair amount of folks are running these Spectre cowl units with a some satisfaction. Probably wouldn't be too much harder to work in a hood snorkel if you wanted some extra height. The common knock on these seems to be the intake howl at the back of the glove box if you want a quiet interior.
