a lift / wheels and tires, winch and winch bumper, fog lights on the bumper, check your exhaust manifold for cracks possibly install a new one then install a magnaflow hi-flow cat and some type of cat cat-back exhaust.. also change your o2 sensors while your at it. If your tranny works fine then dont touch it. If your engine temp is fine then dont touch any of that either.. plus do a good ole tune up under the hood. oh, and a hidden hitch under the rear bumper..
most of this can be found for great prices on craigslist..

Are you after cosmetics or functionality?
Buy a Plastic Jesus and slap it on the dashboard! Ha! Seriously though ... it just depends on what you're after. I'm a function over cosmetics kind of guy though. I'd go over it and fix what needs fixing before you spend all your loot on pretty. Have fun regardless!

What is your budget right this minute (cash on hand) and what do you plan on spending in the next 12 months?
That will determine EVERYTHING.
After that....then tell us what you plan on doing...cause your budget may or may not allow what you want.
-trails, but light stuff like fire roads
-deep mudding
-rock crawling
-daily driving
-camping
-overland
-long haul vacations (aka lots of highways)
-night excursions or day only
-dry climate, wet climate, swamp/desert/mixed
-single, married, GF, partner (yes ladies...I'm aware I put it at the end of the list...doesn't mean a thing! ;-)
All things to consider.
