Default need help with suspension

hey i have an 86 jeep Cherokee that i am working on for my first car, but i want it to be a bad *** weeler.

i am debating on getting a lift kit or putting in air shocks
help??

I was thinking that but I looked at 18" air shocks and was thinking about putting thoes on due to the 48 inch drop it has

Air shocks? Really? Bad idea, get a real lift.

The shock mounts on the vehicle are not designed to support the vehicle weight, air shocks do not offer suitable flex for off roading when aired up, and the air shocks will not cost much less than a budget lift.

Well that is totally different then, I was thinking of the old Hijacker style air shocks from the 70s and 80s. It will take a lot of planning and fab work in order to use those, but it can be done.

I found some plans about a cage the goes in the engine compartment... have you ever heard of the prices of these though?
