Then your screwed. 150 bucks isnt going to get you anything worth taking down the road.
Save up and do it right.

I agree, save your money and do it right the first time. $150 wont do much towards lifting a Jeep. I spent more than that just on front springs.

With 150 you might be able to get a good leaf pack for 2" lift don't see how 150 could get a full 3" lift... Just save up... Remember you get what you pay for

You need at least $350 for the lift alone.

Tires are another $1000.

Spacers will run you around $200 for a set of 4.

Maybe you can get a used set of all for $800.

So what are you doing up front? What are you going to do for new shocks? If your going 33s where are you going to get wheels with the right backspacing? Have you considered your steering may be a weak point?

Stock shocks are gonna suck...hell..you may not even be able to use them if your going over 2.5-3 inches. Do the wheels you have have enough back spacing? That stock tie rod may not enjoy slamming mud holes.. its about as tough as a pencil.

FWIW, my stock rear shocks are what's limiting the droop of my rear suspension, with only 1.5" of lift. New shocks will probably be required for the 3" he wants, I know I need them already.

Steering should be upgraded too. My stock steering is a major weak point, with only 29" tires. And I know you say its only going to be for mud, but just to warn you, I've destroyed far more parts in mud holes than I have rock crawling and trail riding combined. I've broken one tie rod end rock crawling, but destroyed the track bar, wheel bearings, starter, brakes, and had some electrical issues from mud. And that's just my XJ, not counting the thousands of dollars of damage mud holes did to my Silverado.

Build it right the first time, and you'll save money in the long run.
